This forum is for local government members of the Howe Sound Community Forum, MLAs, our MP, and invited observers from communities around the Howe Sound region.

Bowen Island Mayor Andrew Leonard and Council will host the October 3rd, 2025, Howe Sound Community Forum. The meeting takes place in the new Bowen Island Community Centre.

We will learn about the process of updating the Islands Trust policy statement Islands 2050, rlected officials will report updates from their communities on actions related to the Howe Sound region. This is an opportunity to learn more about the host community, current issues and reports from the Howe Sound Biosphere Region Initiative and the Howe Sound Ocean Watch Action Committee.

Representatives from the Squamish Nation and the Province have had to postpone their presentation on the historic Land Use Agreement due to the passing of Chief Bill Williams.
